It looks like red-light cameras in York Region are getting the green light. The Toronto Sun reports the Ontario Ministry of Transportation has approved a request by York Region to run a red-light enforcement program starting on January 1. An evaluation of red-light camera programs across the province found such cameras were followed by reduced right-angle collisions that cause injury and death by 25 per cent. Toronto currently issues about 30-to-60 red-light tickets per camera, per month. Via: 680 News
