Strong Start To 2010

After a sluggish start to 2009, the housing market picked up speed as the year went on. 2010 has picked up where 2009 left off! What a difference a year makes! While January 2009 saw 2670 being reported on the MLS®, Greater Toronto REALTORS® reported 4,986 transactions through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS®) in January 2010. This result represented a huge increase over January 2009 when the home sales were in a recessionary trough. Last month’s sales were slightly higher than the January average in the five years preceding 2009. Demand remains strong through the first few days of February, and Supply remains tight. If you, or someone you know, are looking to sell your property in the near future, the time couldn't be better than it is now. The limited supply is making Multiple Offer scenarios a common occurrence and pricing indicates a full-fledged sellers' market. Call me and I can provide you with Today's value of your property!
